Nesting

"They" say that it is very normal for pregnant moms to nest. I think that they mean that this happens more towards the 7th, 8th or 9th month.

Me - on the other hand - I was born ready to nest. I love organizing, cleaning, and making sure everything has its place. Now in my 20th (or 19th) week - I am in full-blown nesting mode. When I say - full blown - I mean - off the charts.

The only problem is that I really can't do much to prepare the nursery until I know the sex. And of course we all know that I won't know the sex until Tuesday. Since I can't nest in the nursery - I have taken to nesting in other parts of the house.

So far I have cleaned out my work closet and organized boxes and brought things to my work storage unit and thrown things out. (Have I told you how much I love throwing things away?)

After I tackled that project, I decided that I had a bunch of stuff in the basement that I needed to sell. I listed a ton of items on Ebay and Craigslist and I am proud to say that I have made about $200 in the past week.

The next thing that I tackled was my maternity clothing. I took all the clothing out of the bins and hung it in the closet so I could get a visual of what clothing I actually had. (Thanks again Meghan and Brenda for letting me borrow you stuff.) It appears I have a lot more than I thought I did!

The next nesting project will be getting prepared for the Consignment Sale. The sale happens 2x a year. Of course what I sell fully depends on what the sex of this baby is. If I am having a boy - I am going to sell a lot of Maddie's girl clothing from when she was a baby. If I am having a girl - I will be keeping the clothing. So - I am kind of at a stand-still with the consigment preparation.

So this brings me to a stop for the nesting. There is nothing left for me to do. This distresses me a bit. I feel the need to nest. Once Tuesday comes - the nesting will begin again!

HAHA!
You know I am in TOTAL NEST MODE with 30 days to go! I just blogged about it too!! Parallel universe!

Why don't you just go ahead and start your Christmas shopping...you usually have it all bought and wrapped by November anyway. What harm will be done if you finish in August? hee.
