Last night Brian and I went out to dinner. We haven't gone out on a date night since April. How terrible is that? The last time we actually went out to dinner by ourselves was for our anniversary back in April. Of course we have had our lunch dates and our dine arounds with other couples - but we haven't actually gone out to dinner alone in 6 months.
Anyway - we went to Tosca Grill in Troy. I would have to give it 10 stars! It was delicious. We both had the Clam chowder to start with, and I could easily say was the best Clam Chowder I have ever had. It was very creamy and chock full of clams and potatoes. For our entree, Brian had the sirloin and I had short ribs with shrimp. The nicest part about dinner was that there was a piano player and a trumpet player playing music in the background. I felt like we were back in the 1920's. It was just that kind of atmosphere. Another nice part about the evening was that the service was fantastic. My glass of water was never empty and there was a nice flow between courses. And - the bread was AWESOME!
I would easily say that Tosca is one of the best restaurants I have gone to in a long time. I would rate it right up there with 677 Prime.
Ironically, I realized that yesterday was our "half" anniversary. It was our 4 1/2 year anniversary and I didn't even realize it until we were at dinner. How funny is that? Happy "half" anniversary Brian!
