Drip-Drip-Drop

We have a leaky shower head. It is really, really annoying. It drips and drips and drips. It annoys me. The only good thing is that the shower head is one of those heads that can come off and we can lay it on the shower floor so we don't hear the incessant dripping.

During the past month the drip has gotten progressively louder and worse. You may wonder why we have not fixed the leak yet. I cannot answer that question. I am really not sure. It started out as a random leak where it was annoying sometimes and other times it didn't leak at all. Then it got a little worse. And - now here we are with a leaky, leaky shower head. It was just one of those things that we kept putting on the back burner and it just wasn't a priority.

I guess it finally became a priority last week. Brian finally got sick of the drip. He called his friend Kurt.

Kurt is the guru of home improvements. He has helped us update and fix numerous things in our house. He is truly amazing. He can do anything and solve any dilemma. I would trust him to build a new house for us. He is just that good. Not only is he good with home improvements - he is also really smart. He is working on his PhD in some science of something or other. Sorry - not sure what is exactly. Something that is beyond my comprehension.

Now - back to the showerhead. Kurt came over last night to help Brian fix the leak. Once Kurt got a good look at what needed to be done - they realized they needed a special part. Off they went to Home Depot. They were back in 15 minutes and I found them sitting on the couch drinking coffee. MMMM. Why weren't they fixing the leak? Were they taking a coffee break?

No...It was not a coffee break. All work had ceased because Home Depot did not have the special part. The showerhead would not be fixed until the special part could be located.

Until then - the shower is dripping away happily to the sound of the rain outside.
