Stretch Your Dollar

I am starting a new thing on this blog and I am calling it, "Stretch Your Dollar."

I will try to write one thing that we do as a family to stretch our dollar. We try to do these things all the time - but now more than ever because of these hard economic times.

Today's tip is this:
Look closely at your utility bills. Is there any way that you can save money? One way that we save money is on our garbage bill. Instead of having the garbage picked up every SINGLE week, we have it picked up every OTHER week. This cuts our garbage bill in half and it also makes us think twice about what we throw away and how we can be better at recycling.
