The Beard - Before and After

Brian grew a beard. It started the day Aidan was born. That was December 12th.

It all started because after the baby was born a few days had passed and he hadn't shaved. Then we had no power. So - he still didn't shave. Then - before I knew it - a beard had formed. After that he decided to let the beard stay until it was time to go back to work which is not until January 5th. That gave him 3 weeks to grow the beard.

Now - just so you all know - I am NOT a beard person. I don't like facial hair and I like it even less on my husband. I thought it made him look grizzly, and kind of - well- for lack of a better word - scuzzy. He just looked kind of unkempt. That being said - I will admit that many people gave him compliments. Apparently there are many people out there who DO like facial hair. Anyway - Brian promised he would shave it off before he went back to work. We actually have a party to go to tonight and he promised the beard would be gone today before the party. Even better.

Sure enough - he kept his word. The beard is gone. Brian emerged from the shower today with a hair-free face. I was so happy to see my handsome hubby with his clean-shaven face! Good bye beard! Maddie likes it too. Although - she did ask daddy, "where his fur went."
