The New Year came last night and I missed it. I went to bed around 10 PM. Brian came to bed around 1 AM. Happy New Year, honey. Sorry I couldn't ring in the year with you. I was just too darn tired.
It seemed like a quiet New Year's eve. None of my friends had any plans. In fact, most everyone I know stayed in this year and did family stuff. Not sure why. Maybe it was the snowy day. Or the frigid temperature. Or maybe it was the fact that New Year's eve fell on a Wednesday.
Anyway - I made Ropa Vieja in the crock pot and we rented a movie. That was the excitement of our night.
Today has been one of those lazy days. We all slept until 9! Of course when you are up with a fussy baby from 4-6 AM - sleeping in makes sense. After a leisurely morning, Brian and I took the tree down. Yes - good bye Christmas tree. I can't say I am sorry to see you go. All the ornaments are put away and the house is put back together. That makes me very happy. Brian even took it upon to himself to organize our front hallway closet. Ahhh. I love an organized house! Even better, I love an organized closet! I also tackled 2 loads of laundry, put some items on Ebay and gave Aidan a bath. Next task - give Maddie a bath and figure out what to have for dinner. Happy New Year everyone.
