Valentine's Galore

Valentine's Day is in one week. This means that Maddie has to send Valentine's cards to school. For 27 kids. Yup. Fun stuff.

So off we went to Target so she could pick out her cards. We meandered through the Valentine's aisle and she took her time picking out her cards.

We stood in front of the princess cards for a good long while. I could see her little brain ticking. "Dora or Tinkerbell?" How can a girl decide??? It's a tough one.

She went with Tinkerbell and the fairies. (Good choice Maddie. I would have picked the same.)

When we got home from school we got to work putting the Valentine's together. The cool thing about the Fairy Cards, is that they came with stickers. She put a sticker on every card. Then we folded them and then another sticker had to go on to seal the card.

After that, I decided to try and have her write her name on each card. I figured this would be good "name-writing" practice. So - believe it or not - I had to make "Maddie dots" on 27 cards so she could connect the dots to practice writing her name.

After about the 5th or 6th one, she said, "Mommy, this is gonna take a long time!"

Ummm. Yeah. Well - I guess it is.

Anyway - we plugged through and did all 27 cards - and even made some more for Cousin Alyssa, Rayna and Evan!
