It's time for another book review. This time I read "Kabul 24" by Henry Arnold and Ben Pearson.
From the first page, I was pulled into the book. It is a compelling story of eight Western Aid workers and 16 Afghan workers associated with the "Shelter Now International" organization. They were arrested by the Taliban and thrown into horrible, filthy conditions for 105 days.
Despite their terrible conditions, the workers rely on their faith in God to get them through their terrible experiences. As the book progresses, you will see how God uses each day to make the prisoners stronger. The book also shows how God brings help from the most unexpected sources and how He miraculously proves Himself in more than one occasion.
Kabul 24 is a must-read for anyone who likes a tale of adventure, perserverance and compassion. The book is about turning to God, when there is no hope elsewhere.
