Crawling

As I mentioned in one of my posts earlier this week, Aidan started crawling on Monday. He was a little slower to crawl than his sister. (Maddie crawled at 7 months). After only 4 days of crawling, I can say that I am kind of GLAD that Aidan decided to not crawl until he hit the 10 month mark. I forgot how much I would be chasing the little guy around.

He is getting into everything. He can't seem to stay away from plugs. This is a new one to me. Maddie never showed any interest in plugs. For some reason, Aidan is fascinated by them. He also has a habit of sticking his little fingers in between the door hinge. AGHH. Thank goodness he hasn't shut the door when his fingers are IN the hinge. That would not be good. And then there is the fascination with my console table where I have an arrangement of family photos. He loves knocking down the photos. Oh - and I also have a wooden pumpkin filled with acorns. I don't even need to tell you how much he loves to play with the acorns.

Needless to say, I am going to have to baby-proof. I really don't want to though. I want him to learn that he can't touch certain things. So - I have tried the approach of steering him in the other direction and telling him "Uh-uh buddy." He looks at me and laughs.

Life should be interesting for the next few months.
