Christmas is Coming

I have a lot of my Christmas shopping completed already.

It's all in my basement ready to be wrapped. However, the problem is that if I wrap it this early, I will have nowhere to put it. So - for now, it stays in my basement.

Before I can think about Christmas - we have other events coming up.

A bunch of birthdays and a big anniversary! Brian's parents are celebrating their 40th anniversary this month. Wowsers! That's a big one. FORTY years. That is a long time! Anyway - we have all of this stuff coming up and of course it all falls right before Christmas. It gets kind of nutty.

In the meantime - I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my parents. So - I need to think about that. And - I need to think about how we are going to put a Christmas tree up with a little rascal crawling around. Of course he is going to go right for the tree and pull on it. Mmmmm. This should be interesting.

And my other major thought is that I am trying to get the perfect Christmas photo. I never realized how hard this would be with 2 kids trying to get them both to smile and look somewhat normal at the same time. I tried it the other night. Maddie was a good sport and Aidan just whined. It didn't go over well. On the upside - I did get a bunch of cute shots of Maddie.

This is what runs through my mind late at night. No wonder I am tired. I think too much!
