Another Book Review

It's time for another book review.
This time - I reviewed, "Jack Daniel's Spirit of Tennessee Cookbook". I have never reviewed a cookbook before and it was fun to flip through it and look at the recipes.

The book is more than a cookbook. It is a journey through Lynchburg, TN, which is the birthplace of Jack Daniel's Distillery. Through the pages, the reader meets the people and visits the places that capture the traditions of this famous little city. The book embraces all of the genres and goes beyond them to create something charming, informative, entertaining and functional.

It is important to note that not all of the recipes contain Jack Daniel's. The recipes that do require it, usually only ask for a small amount.

The cookbook has some great southern recipes. Some of the titles include, Miss Mary's Cabbage Casserole, Catfish Soup, Jack's Black Bean Soup, and Hot Southern Corn Nog. Now - if those titles don't catch your attention - then I don't know what will!

This book would make a great Christmas gift. Just pair it up with a bottle of Jack Daniel's - and you are all set!
