We are back home. It's nice to be home. Vacation was great - but it's always nice to get back home and get back into the routine. We had a little bit of a sleeping issue on vacation. Aidan screamed bloody murder every night when it was time to go to sleep. Normally I would just let him cry. However, that wasn't possible since our room was right next door to where Dean and Ava were sleeping. So basically we had to go in and lay with him and then put him back in the pack n' play until he fell asleep. We don't normally do this but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Anyway - since we have returned home it has been laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping and avoiding the massive heat wave. It was nice to have the extra day off today but I am anxious for tomorrow. Maddie starts her first day of camp and Aidan goes back to daycare. I have work to be done and it's time to get back to reality.
Brian's birthday was Friday and the plan was for us to go out to dinner last night to celebrate. My parents said they would watch the kids. However, our plans were squashed when we realized that every place that we wanted to go was closed since it was July 4th. I guess we will try to do that next weekend.
