After weeks of searching for a Half Marathon training plan, Janis and I finally found one that we liked. Originally, we planned on doing a 12-week plan. But -in the end, we decided that a 16-week plan would work best. It will give us a little bit of extra time. However, 16 weeks out puts the beginning of the training to start on ... ummmm... this week.
Yup. My training starts on Tuesday with a 3 mile run, followed by a 3 miler on Thursday and then a 4 miler on Sunday. Easy.
The first few weeks are easy. Basically just 3 and 4 mile runs. Then it starts to get serious. I am a little nervous. But -I am glad I have 16 weeks to train.
It's very exciting and I can't wait to put that 13.1 bumper sticker on my car after the race.
