Who Needs a landscaper when you have my husband?

We finally have topsoil. By this I mean - the topsoil to put around our patio to start landscaping. We waited for quite a while. We were promised topsoil by the person who did our concrete. It never happened. So - we finally got sick of waiting and ordered our own. It is the good stuff. Specifically for flower beds and landscaping. The man delivered it yesterday and Brian got to work.

First he had to wheelbarrow all the dirt and spread it around the patio and build it upwards. Then yesterday evening we went out to our local nursery and purchased plants. Then we got home and he layed the weed-blocker film over the dirt and then planted the plants.

Now today is Sunday. He is edging and putting an edging border in and he still has to plant the other half of the plants. After all the plants are done - we will have more mulch delivered and the mulch will go over the black film.

The latest photos are above. The bottom 2 are when it was just the dirt. Then the top 2 are with some of the plants already planted. There is still work to be done - but I can finally see how it will look and I have to say that I think the results are great!
