17 or 18?

So yesterday marked my 18th week of pregnancy. Or was it 17? See - I really don't know what week I am because when I went to the doctor last week he told me that he thinks my due date is 8 days off.

Eight days? How can that be? I innocently asked the inevitable question. "Do you mean 8 days later or 8 days earlier?" I laughed nervously as I awaited his reponse. His reply - "Eight days later."

I almost fell off the table. Eight days later would make my due date December 22nd. December 22nd means 3 days before Christmas. The original due date is December 14th and that was fine. That was 2 weeks before Christmas. I could handle that.

Anyway - he didn't officially change the due date yet. He wants to wait until the ultrasound on the 31st and then compare the other ultrasounds and measurements before he changes it.

So - back to the fact that I don't know what week I am. 17 or 18? Time will tell I guess!
