Vacation

We booked our vacation!

I honestly didn't think we were going to do the "group" vacation this year. I thought we might venture off and plan our own vacation - just the 4 of us. However, a few weeks ago, the topic came up and suddenly it seemed like everyone was game for it!

Sometimes the things that happen spontaneously happen to work out for the best. In the past, it seems like we have spent weeks and weeks looking at houses and trying to find "the perfect" place on the Jersey shore. You know - gorgeous house, with a pool for a reasonable price. It usually takes a while, but we always manage to do it.

This year was different. After the 5 families decided they were "in" for the vacation, Janis happened upon a really cool house in Connecticut. After she sent the link out - everyone was in agreement that this was the house!

It will be kind of strange not to go to Avalon this year. However, everyone seemed like they wanted to try a different spot this year. Somewhere closer to home. So - Janis found a house on the Long Island Sound and it is gorgeous! Best of all - it is only 3 hours from home. That beats sitting for 5 hours on the Garden State Parkway in traffic.

Anyway - we are going at the end of July. It can't come soon enough.
