I have ventured back to the gym. Very slowly. You know - as in 1-2 times per week. I know. Call me a slacker. But - when you haven't set foot in a gym for 6 months, 1-2 times per week is pretty good - right?
Come on. You can tell me. It's good. Damn good.
Not really.
But - I am trying. Really, I am. I walk on the treadmill and I have been concentrating on doing sit ups. Gotta get rid of the baby pouch. I don't know if sit ups will do anything - but at least I am trying. Don't I get points for that?
Trying to go to the gym with 2 kids is a lot harder than I thought. I don't want go at night just because it is cold and dark outside and really - who wants to go at night? Everyone is there after work and it is very crowded. I could go first thing in the morning but in reality that is not going to happen. Getting up at 6 AM to go and work out? Not gonna happen!
So the only other option is to go during the day on my lunch hour. That is hard to do also. Which is why I only go 1-2 times per week.
It would be nice to have a partner to go with. You know - someone to motivate me and push me to my maximum potential. Maybe I need a personal trainer?
That would be nice. Until then, I keep trying.
