Customer Service

Being in the healthcare industry and being a person who works from home and being a person who works independently - I know the importance of good customer service. In fact, I pride myself on returning phone calls and emails promptly. Like - within the hour of receiving one. That is just me. Prompt. To the point. Done.

Anyway - this swingset thing has got me all riled up. We all know that some of the posts on the swingset had the wrong holes. This meant lots and lots of phone calls to Gorilla Playset. It also meant lots and lots of phone calls to the Gorilla Playset installer. It also meant NO ONE calling me back.

All I wanted was a tracking number. All I wanted was a date on when it was sent. That is all I needed. It is really not hard! For goodness sake we called last Thursday to explain the problem. Today is Wednesday and just now - I finally got a tracking number. The new posts are on their way. They left the warehouse last night. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they arrive in Albany before the weekend. Otherwise it will be another weekend lost of no swingset building.

So - besides the fact that I am highly annoyed that we have the wrong posts - I am more annoyed about the bad customer service I received from Gorilla Playset. Is it really that hard to call back????? Is it? I don't think so. But apparently to some people it is. I am a nice person on the phone. What I really wanted to do was scream at the lady and demand some type of compensation for our inconvenience. However, I realize that you don't get far in life by yelling and screaming. So - I acted nice and finally I got my tracking number. Finally. Five days later. But I got it. Yes I did.

Now - let's keep your fingers crossed that these new posts have the correct holes in them! Otherwise, I might just have to put my mean lady "hat" on and start yelling!
