I recently read "From Peanuts to Pressbox: Insider Sports Stories from Life Behind a Mic," written by Eli Gold.
It was clear from the start of the book that Eli Gold is a person that is not afraid of hard work. He is also the type of person that knows what he wants out of life. Since he was a child, Gold wanted to be a sports broadcaster and he took it upon himself to do everything that he could so he could meet that goal.
Gold grew up in Brooklyn, and as a teenager, worked at a job that started at 4:30 in the morning. He wasn't afraid of hard work and even worked at an unpaid internship - just to get experience in the field that he loved.
This book is a great tribute to the fact that hard work does pay off. It tells the tale of one man's dedication to overcome obstacles and rise above, so that his dreams can be achieved. The book is an inspiration to all that read it.
