Not sure why - but ever since school started -we have been getting some bad reports on Miss Maddie. According to her teacher, Maddie is having difficulty staying quiet when it's nap time. She runs out of the room and needs to go potty. She needs a drink of water. She can't sleep. She pushes chairs around. She climbs over the other kids.
Interesting. When she naps at home, she goes right to bed and we don't hear a peep from her. Not sure why she is acting out at school. Oh. Maybe it's because she is testing limits? She can get away with it? Because she is stubborn, spirited Maddie? Maybe for those reasons?
Anyway - yesterday was the first good report we had since school started. The teacher sent a note home saying that Maddie rested quietly and was a good girl. Phew. I was really starting to get a complex that I had the "bad child!" Fortunately the teacher understands that Pre-K is an adjustment for all kids and she happens to think Maddie is adorable and cute. I guess it's hard to get mad at a cute kid.
Let's see how the rest of the week plays out and if she is on a good behavior streak.
