Land of sickness

It's been all about sickness over here at the Graber household.

It started on Monday with Aidan throwing up at daycare. He was fine on Tuesday (except for a low-grade fever) and seemed fine on Wednesday. Thursday we sent him back to daycare and that's when things went downhill. He threw up again. He also had a few rounds of it coming out the other end.

Yesterday we kept him home again and that's when I figured out that he hadn't had a wet diaper in 12 hours! I called the doctor and they said if he was acting lethargic to take him to the ER so he could get an IV. After trying to force-feed pedialyte down him and watching him, we decided to go to the hospital. They hooked him up to an IV and the little guy took in 3 bags of fluids. They wouldn't let us leave until he went potty and it took him until 5 PM to go.
Today he seems somewhat back to normal. He ate his breakfast and is drinking his water. I am hoping we are on the upswing of this. The photo is from his long day in the hospital.
