Adventure date

I think it's important to take time with your significant other.

I am a big advocate of date night, or a lunch date. Or whatever you have to do to make time for each other. It's important.

Anyway - last week, Brian and I managed to have a day date. Both kids were at Miss Lynne's.
So - we took a day trip over to Cambridge and went tubing down the river.

It was great. It was a hot day and it was perfect for spending 90 minutes on a tube and splashing in the water. There were 3 trip options - 1 1/2 hours, 2 1/2 hours, or 4 1/2 hours. The short trip was perfect for us. It was just long enough to have some peace and quiet.

We floated down the river and took some photos. We chatted with some other people who were on the river and we took in the pretty views.

When we were done, we stopped at an English pub for lunch on the way home. And I even had a beer! Gasp. (I am not a beer drinker.) But it was certainly yummy on a hot day.

And then we went and picked up the kids. It was a nice day. Just long enough to make us feel refreshed and renewed. Almost like we had a vacation.

I highly suggest making the trip over to Cambridge to go tubing. It was a fun and different thing to do on a hot, humid day.
