It is amazing the things that you can get from the the town in which you live. I recently learned (thanks to my friend Felice) that the Highway department will deliver mulch and topsoil to your house - for FREE! That is amazing to me. When we used to live in Brunswick, the town offered free mulch - but you had to go and physically get it.
This is different. The town where we live now actually delivers it to your house. How nice.
Then - I recently learned about summer camp. Starting at age 6, the kids can go to summer camp from 9 AM - 3 PM and there is no set cost. When I found this out, I was shocked. No set cost? How can that be? The head of the youth department told me that most parents just pay a donation and you can pay whatever you want. And there is also summer camp for 4 year olds but that is only 3 days per week from 9 AM - noon. Again - no set cost.
Anyway - I guess that is why we pay taxes! But - these are things you should take advantage of!

We have town mulch, but we have to go get it. Be careful, because there can be "bad" things in mulch that your plants don't want. I can't think of what they are now, but they might be something that can kill trees.
Vacations with friends are the best. Your kids will have lasting memories and so will you.
