Aidan has been sleeping in his carseat since he was about 2 weeks old. This has worked wonders for us. He goes to be around 7:30 and wakes up around 2 or 3 in the morning to eat and then goes back to sleep until 7. I can't complain. I am rested and life is good.
However, I am starting to get nervous that we are relying too much on the car seat and that he might never learn to sleep flat on his back. I have tried to have him take his naps flat on his back and I have even put him to bed at night flat on his back a few times. However, I noticed that he doesn't have a restful sleep on his back as he does in the car seat.
So - back to the carseat we went. I guess it makes him feel comfy and secure. However - I just worry that I am not teaching him to sleep the "proper" way. What happens if he relies so much on the car seat that he never learns to sleep on his back??

I'll have to construct a car seat crib, car seat toddler bed and car seat bed as he grows up...
