Not sure how it will turn out

The half marathon is next week. Since I started getting my mileage up back in June for the Boilermaker - I basically feel like I have been training FOREVER. And because I have increased my mileage for weeks - I feel that this race should be easy as pie.

However, the weeks of training have been a bit...ummmm...strange. Along the way I had a trip to the ER and was diagnosed with pleurisy. I have also not enjoyed running in the humidity. That was kind of a bummer. Some long runs have been great. Others have been just plain crappy. And because of this, I feel like I have no plan for the half next week.

I just have no idea how I will run. I could have a great running day. Or I could be huffing and puffing it the whole way. I have no idea how fast I will run. I certainly hope to beat 2:20. But - I don't want to put that pressure on myself. Basically, I haven't a clue how it will all turn out.

And I guess I should be more nervous. Right now, I don't even have my head wrapped around the fact that the race is next week. I am sure reality will set in sometime around Friday or Saturday. And then I will be a wreck.

I hope you run well this weekend! Take one day at a time and take one race at a time. GL!
