My mileage for September was 70 miles. That is 8 miles less than last month. However, considering that I was tapering before the half - I figured my mileage would be a little less.
And now - what's next for me? While we were driving to the half marathon, I told Felice, Janis and Amanda that I was definitely running a full marathon in the Spring. For sure. I was. Yup. However, I said that before I suffered through the 13.1. I really thought I would run the 13.1 miles and feel good about it and feel like it was somewhat easy. However, it was anything but easy. So, now I don't feel ready to commit to a full 26.2 miles yet.
So - this is what I have decided. I need a do-over. Yup. I need a repeat. I want to pretend that last week's race didn't count. I am going to think that it was a training run and I am going to run another half in the near future to prove to myself that I can do better. Yup. Good plan - right?
The only problem is that there are no other half marathons in the near future that are close by, with a flat course and that aren't closed out. So - yeah. There lies my dilemma. I want to run another half. But there is no half to run! What's a girl to do?
I guess for now I am just going to see what comes about. I just registered for Albany Last Run which is a 5K in December. I couldn't do it last year because it was my grandfather's 90th birthday party. So this year - I wanted to do it for sure. And I registered today! Yay.
And the other race that's on my radar is the Stockadathon. That is a 15K in Schenectady in November. I am not sure about that one - but I would like to do it to keep my mileage up.
And that's all for now...Have a great weekend!

What about the Hangover Half on 1/1/12 at noon? It is a half. There is no medal, but it is still a half marathon. It is also a great way to start out the new year.
